We are pleased to announce that expressions of interest for our fourth course are now open.
Over ten weeks students will learn how to plan, shoot and edit a short film. Students will work together in a group on one film. Filming will take place during workshop times as well as at a few other times which will be negotiated with families. Finished films will be submitted to the MyState Financial Student Film Festival and go in the running to win prizes. We will also have our own special edition Youth Film Festival celebration in December.
The workshops are being lead by Brianna Lori, an experienced teacher and keen film maker. She will be supported by Michael Gissing, a multi AFI award winning film maker, Michael will be assisting in the more technical aspects of the film making.
We aim to teach a method of film making that is accessible and easy for students to continue to practice after the completion of the workshops. Students will use free software and the NEW Community Sound Kit. The Community Sound Kit has been funded by the Huon Valley Community Bank Branches to to enable ongoing film making (pod casts, radio etc) by our local community.
Please complete the form below. Numbers are limited to ten students, we hope that every one can get a place but if not, unsuccessful applicants will be offered places in the fifth delivery of the workshops in early 2020.
