Flickerfest film festival
‘GREAT SHORT FILM NEVER DIES!
Flickerfest, Australia’s largest Short Film Festival, is coming back to Cygnet to kick off the July school holidays showcasing the FlickerKids program.
Celebrating its 30th year in 2021 Flickerfest remains Australia’s leading Academy® Qualifying and BAFTA Recognised short film festival.
The program presents a selection of entertaining, inspiring and award winning films that will appeal to the kid in everyone, hand-picked from the festival’s 2,700 entries, giving local Flickerfest audiences the first look at the hottest shorts in the world today.
Highlights of FlickerKids Shorts includes the fun and entertaining ‘Dust Cloud’ about a badly behaved working dog (Jack), who changes his tune when he is given the love and respect he deserves from a prudent country woman played by Sandy Gore (Brides of Christ, Australia), the fast paced and super engaging ‘Desert Racers’ where a hodgepodge group of characters compete in an annual desert race and the Oscar shortlisted ‘To Gerard’ from Pixar Animation about a sprightly elderly gentleman who brightens the day of a little girl through magic.
